Advanced Carbon Frame Construction

The Dissent Carbon 297 is built using T700/800 carbon fiber, which allows Nukeproof engineers to optimize stiffness, strength, and compliance. By transitioning to a carbon frame, the overall weight has been reduced by 430g compared to the alloy version, with the RAW frame weighing 3.46kg. The frame also includes 3D contoured protection and integrated bump stops, enhancing durability against impacts. To ensure easy maintenance, the bike features tube-in-tube internal cable routing, keeping the frame looking clean while reducing hassle when replacing cables.

Suspension that adapts to your ride

The Giga 290 Carbon features a horseshoe-driven linkage inspired by the Dissent downhill frame, enhanced with a two-stage main pivot flip chip for adjustable suspension progressivity. Riders can switch between 25.5% progression for a balanced, supportive ride or 29% progression for added suppleness, ideal for coil shocks or slippery conditions.

Crafted from UD 700/800 carbon fiber, the frame balances stability and compliance, with a carbon rear triangle that improves traction and suspension sensitivity. Its long, low, slack, and steep geometry optimizes both climbing efficiency and downhill performance, with a steep seat angle and maximum dropper post insertion for maneuverability.

Refined alloy frame and geometry

The Mega 290 Alloy is built entirely from T6061-T6 aluminum, including all forged components, to optimize strength, weight, and durability. The new geometry has been fine-tuned for better weight distribution and dynamic saddle offset, ensuring an ideal riding position across all frame sizes. The seat tube design allows for the use of longer dropper posts, giving riders more confidence on steep descents.

Race-tuned suspension kinematics

The Mega’s Horst-link suspension delivers small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support, and high-speed control, ensuring a supple feel over rough terrain. Its progressive mid-stroke keeps the bike stable through corners and compressions, while predictable deep travel prevents harsh bottom-outs. Tuned anti-squat enhances pedaling efficiency on climbs and reduces at speed for optimal suspension performance on descents. A widened SAG range allows riders to fine-tune their setup for racing or tackling the toughest terrain.

SRAM Eagle Powertrain

At the heart of the Megawatt Carbon is the all-new SRAM Eagle Powertrain. This system delivers 90Nm of torque through a powerful drive unit, backed by a 720Wh battery. It seamlessly integrates with the Eagle Transmission and AXS wireless shifting, creating a cohesive and intuitive riding experience.

Key features include Autoshift, which allows the bike to shift gears automatically to maximize motor function, and Coastshift, enabling riders to change gears without pedaling—eliminating the common issue of gear mashing when a descent quickly turns into a climb.

Optimized Geometry for Ultimate Control

The Megawatt Carbon’s geometry strikes the perfect balance between stability and agility. While the rear linkage remains largely unchanged from the previous Megawatt model, subtle refinements ensure the suspension is supple on small bumps and supportive on bigger hits. This creates a ride that is both playful and planted, giving riders confidence in technical terrain.

Advanced 4-bar Horst linkage for exceptional suspension dynamics

Using a 4-bar Horst linkage, the Reactor is tuned for exceptional suspension dynamics. It boasts high anti-squat in climbing gears for pedaling efficiency and reduced anti-squat at higher speeds to stay active and plush. A progressive suspension rate ensures small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support for cornering and pumping, and a controlled end stroke for bigger hits. Balanced anti-rise allows the bike to remain composed under braking, maintaining grip and rider stability.
